Hambone Karate Kid demonstrating how to pulverize a board at his Yellow Belt Ceremony on Saturday morning

It's a quick one this morning as we'll be departing for the University of Wisconsin - School of Medicine in Madison, fairly soon for my 9 AM Monday morning appointment.
Saturday morning's walk was beautiful. A person can smell spring in the air. We're ready.
The instructors put Hambone and his cohorts through multiple routines before the moment of truth arrived. To earn a yellow belt, each candidate had to kick a board in two.
I'm proud of ol' Hambone. Nervous and somewhat hesitant, he didn't give up.
We later witnessed the ceremony of Grady receiving his belt and certificate. It was a good day in world of Hambone Karate Kid.
Home by early afternoon, I spent the rest of the day in the shop where I put the finishing touches on both fish and the Lord's Prayer. All will be gone on Tuesday.
A new project was also started, a decorative sign to hang in Cheeks' bedroom. I'm going to have to tap into my more sensitive side as it will have script, be a pastel color, and adorned with girly girl flowers.
So that was our day. A big bowl of Sargie's chili was enjoyed last night for supper as we binge watched several episodes of Yellowstone.
I always wanted to be a cowboy when I grew up, but after watching Yellowstone, I'm content to remain a retired school teacher.
We should arrive in Madison later this afternoon for tomorrow morning's appointment. As of now, we plan to be back home before dark Monday evening.
OK, time to throw a couple of things in the suitcase and get out of Dodge.
After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
