August 5, 2018 - Sunday evening
71 degrees/partly cloudy/calm winds
Pentoga Road

It's been a mellow day on Pentoga Road. After flushing the filters in the garden pond this morning, I made my way to the shop and finished the stickman rock 'n roll band.

I have no idea what I'll do with all these stick figures, but they are fun to make. Meanwhile, the stickman community continues to grow.

While I played, Sargie was busy mowing the front meadow.

I haven't completely given up on making a mouse
It didn't take her long to finish and before long, we were on our way to Rhinelander to run a few errands.

It was dark and hazy last night when we drove home from Iron Mountain. I came upon a large plastic bag in the middle of the road and before I could react, ran over the thing.

When I opened the garage door this morning, I saw the bag sticking from under the car.

Not only did we run over the bag, it became tangled and was soon melted onto the manifold pipe and muffler.  There was nothing to do but crawl under and cut as much away as possible.

It's hard to believe that we dragged that bag most the way home from Iron Mountain.

We shopped at several places in Rhinelander and purchased such exciting items as bulk goldfish food and butter. It's a wild life Sargie and I lead while on our shopping excursions.

Back home, Sargie watered her flowers and later, we had a wonderful evening sitting on the front porch and simply enjoying each other's company.

Sargie opens the Vision Center Monday morning. I'll ride with her and drive the Blazer back home. After, I'll try to finish anything that needs to be done without a four year-old assistant. I've heard rumors that Hambone will be coming home with Grandma Sargie Monday evening and be with us for a couple of days.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
