The temperature was warm enough on Monday to cause the snow to fall from the roof onto the patio. |

Sargie opens bright and early this morning so this will be a quick one. I want to finish writing, download my favorite podcast, and hop in the car with her so she can drop me off several miles from home and I'll walk back.
Monday was somewhat lazy, but productive. After walking my three miles, I spent a couple of hours clearing the patio and drive. With the temperature nearing the freezing mark, snow was sliding from the metal roof and landing on the deck. Wet and heavy, it took some time to remove.
After completely unhooking the battery from Mom's car and putting it on the charger, I found the battery held a charge and the crisis has passed. I don't understand the newer cars and such things as modules, sensors, and all those other computerized components involved in today's vehicles. No matter, it's fixed and we're back in business.
Mom and I went for a wonderful afternoon drive. Our first stop was to visit sister-in-law, Trish, at the bank in Crystal Falls. After, we stopped by the grocery and purchased all the fixings for beef stew.

I think Mom and I make a dynamic team when it comes to culinary magic. Our stew was, (brag brag) to-die-for-good. Mom hasn't lost her touch a bit.
We watched a few Lifetime and Hallmark Christmas movies Monday afternoon. Yes, I have become THAT new sensitive guy. I record several ahead of time so that we can fast forward through the commercials while watching.
Sargie arrived home late last evening after closing the Vision Center. The three of us talked for a short bit while Sargie ate supper. It wasn't long before we were heading upstairs to bed.
Sargie opens this morning. I'm going to walk five miles then we'll see what the day brings. I need to work in the shop a bit and later, we'll go to the drug store and have one of Mom's prescriptions filled.
Meanwhile, it's time to pour another cup of coffee and get the day started.
After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
