June 18, 2014 - Wednesday
63 degrees/rainy/calm
Pentoga Road

We ventured to Green Bay on Tuesday and watched an open Packers practice. Wonderful! For those who are Packers fans, there's no need for me to label all the following. You'll know the majority of the players. Those who aren't fans of the Green and Gold... they look like any other athlete:

Rookie of the Year - Eddie Lacey
Julius Peppers

Our first round draft pick, Haha Clinton-Dix

Jordy Nelson

Aaron Rodgers doing a balancing act with a football.
Coach McCarthy (wearing two different colored shoes.)

Datone Jones

A Lambeau Field tour.
After stopping to visit Sargie at the Vision Center, we arrived home Tuesday evening to find Brutus with a face full of porcupine quills. I attempted to pull them, but my best friend had no sense of humor what-so-ever and I was fearful his jaws might end up wrapped around my arm.

We loaded him into the car and drove back to the animal hospital in Iron Mountain. He's okay this morning... sore, but okay.

Just before waking up after being sedated. Brutus was in Happyland after being sedated.

Needless to say, we had a very full day on Tuesday. It's presently raining, but the forecast is calling for partly sunny skies and warm temperatures.

Time to get another cup of coffee and do something constructive.

After all, a man's work is never done.

I well remember when Oscar Meyer and his Weinermobile visited our local grocery when I was two or three years old. Almost sixty years later, I still get as big a thrill. The Packers and the Weinermobile all in one day... it's almost more excitement than any one man can handle.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
