June 17, 2014 - Tuesday
63 degrees/cloudy/calm
Pentoga Road

It's T-minus 55 minutes and counting. Andy and I are heading to Title Town, Green Bay, to see our Packers practice during a mini-camp. It's time to get the juices flowing in Packer Nation.

The past several days have seen us fishing. Though we're not emptying out the lakes, we've had enough action to keep us busy. There haven't been many big ones caught, but I'm not sure we're out there to put meat on the table. It's more of a social affair.

A big ol' buck bluegill Andy pulled in off the spawning nests using a fly rod and popper.
For Father's Day, we had fried chicken, mashed potatoes, chicken gravy, and corn on the cob. Sargie pulled out all the stops and made an apple cake, one of my favorites.

The rain seems to be coming in perfect amounts at the perfect times. I hope it continues right on through the summer.

Work is contining in the side yard and we have made huge progress. It's quite the project, but should be well worth the time and effort.
Life is progressing at a rapid pace on Pentoga Road. I'm making trellises for the cucumbers and the garden is beginning to look like it should.

Andy will be with us until Friday so no doubt, there'll be more fishing, more landscaping, games of HORSE in the driveway, and other activities that drive us men to go onward and upward.

Because as we all know, a man's work is never done...

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
