Rose with three year old grandson, Jace |
55 degrees/cloudy/windy
Pentoga Road
I'm to meet Tim at 7 in the morning to go walking, so I thought I'd write tonight.
Today's been a combination of gluttony, laziness, and hard work.
We left for Tim and Rose's Sunday morning directly after I arrived home from my walk. Rose pulled out all the stops by serving stuffed French toast and sausage. To say it was sinfully delicious would be a vast understatement.
We enjoyed talking and laughing with their four children, significant others, and grandbabies. It was a wonderful family time of which we were honored to be a part of.
Sargie andI bade all goodbye later in the morning and headed back to Pentoga Road.
The day was cold, rainy, and windy. With a full belly and comfortably snug under a heavy blanket, my eyes closed and I enjoyed an afternoon nap.
Sargie's son, Shea, called and while the two were busy catching up on life, I changed into old work clothes and headed out the door. There was a trailer filled with firewood to be worked up and put away.

Sargie later joined me and working together, the trailer was emptied before nightfall.

This evening has been a quiet one.
We'll be heading to Rhinelander sometime early this coming week. I want to purchase several pails of driveway sealer and complete that yearly chore in the next few days.

After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
