Is it The Flash? (or could it be....) Captain Luke getting ready to practice cold water rescue |

Pentoga Road
Luke sent the above picture earlier today. No doubt, he was putting his crew and himself through the paces of cold water rescue. Though he's a captain, Luke would never ask anyone working under him to do anything he wouldn't do himself.
I trekked a bit over seven miles this morning and felt as though I was walking in a snow globe. It was absolutely beautiful.
One of the large hardwoods along the way has the biggest burl I've ever seen. I wish it was on our land. I'd cut it down and take it to Mississippi Brother Garry to make into bowls.
After all the company of this past weekend, we needed a few groceries. The weather was cold and windy so we decided to drive to Rhinelander.
As usual, we found goodies to purchase that we didn't even know we needed. One thing about it, no one's going to go hungry around here.
I'll go for my walk in the morning then head to the shop. Sargie has a dentist's appointment in the afternoon. Other than that, the world's the limit.
After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
