Pentoga Road
It's another short one this morning. I went to bed last night at 9:30 and slept until the alarm went off this morning. I don't know why I was tired. I sure didn't do anything yesterday.
The C Scan went well in Iron Mountain. The tech did, indeed, confirm that I have a brain, so we'll see what the results are. I asked if she might be able to inject some more gray matter into my brain, but she just laughed, shook her head, and told me to lay down.
Rejection. My life story.
The rest of the day was spent being lazy. Sargie had me hang a sign in the kitchen that she purchased in Rhinelander a couple of days ago.Downtown Florence, WI. We drove on slippery roads the entire way to Iron Mountain. |
What should have been a slam dunk job took a bit longer than expected as my initial measurements were off by a quarter of an inch. They were good enough for me, but in Sargie's world, that might as well be a country mile.
It was too cold and windy to do much outside and too late in the day to warm up the shop. Consequently, after a big ol' bowl of Sargie's great homemade chili, we were lazy, watching tv, playing on the internet, and oh yeah, I took a two hour nap.
Sargie works today. I'm going for my walk then warm up the shop and have every intention of spending time out there. The cell phone people should be calling, saying the external antenna is in and I hope to get that up tomorrow.
Andy's on his way to Melbourne, Australia, to drill for oil. He sent the above from the plane yesterday. Flying business class, the boy is stretched out and ready the long flight. |
After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
