Jambo and I were walking in downtown Pentoga yesterday when we met the snowmobile trail groomer |

I've got an 8 o'clock appointment with Eric the Dentist this morning so I'm hustling around trying to get ready for the day. Sargie also works today.
At the point of sounding repetitious, Monday was, once again, all about snow. This time it was removing it from the roof of the front porch.
More about that in a minute.
Neighbor Mike had sent a text and asked if I was going for my morning walk. It wasn't long before I was standing at the foot of his drive waiting for the boy.
We have some wonderful conversations, Jambo and I, and the three mile walk to Pentoga Village and back flew by.
Back home, I was hoping the several feet of snow on the front porch roof might be removed using the Minnesnowta from ground level. The long handled gismo does a great job on snow, but wasn't very good at removing the several inches of heavy ice under the snow.
There was nothing to do but get the ladder and climb towards Heaven. Using a flat handled spade, I was able to pry the ice free. It took a couple of hours, but the roof was eventually cleared of all ice and snow.
Bless her heart, Sargie worked down below, first carrying in the day's supply of fire wood and then cleaning the front steps and porch. She's a worker, that girl of mine.
The rest of the day was spent going for a drive and just fiddling around in general. Jambo was using the shop, but I didn't see him too much. He was a man on a mission.
As mentioned above, Sargie works today and I'm off for another dental session. Dang, I'm getting tired of having people's hands in my mouth. I've always had good teeth and have been complimented more than once for my healthy gums and teeth, but it seems like the body they are attached to, my choppers are beginning to grow weary.
Oh well, we'll do what the farmers in Maine do when it snows.
We'll let it snow.
After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
