That's grandson, Coleman, in the middle, after winning his weight class in a large New England wrestling tournament this weekend.

Daddy's going to have a add a trophy room onto their house if Coleman keeps bringing home the gold. Congratulations, little buddy. Grandma Sargie and Grandpa are proud of you!

Snow. That says it all.

After all a man's work is...

Well, I guess there is more to talk about than snow, but after this past weekend's storm, it was the consensus of Jambo, Mark, and me, that we received, give or take, around eighteen inches in total. Lord, that's a lot of snow on top of what we already had.

The outdoor wood furnace is being buried
Knowing that, I spent a good deal of Sunday plowing and occasionally, getting stuck. Snow fell in back of the plow blade and with slippery ice underneath, rather than dig, I hooked onto the Blazer and pulled myself out.

Jambo plowed our drive earlier in the morning. What a nice guy. The look on his face as he pushes the snow reminds me of a little boy on Christmas morning. He's a true northerner and likes that snow.

Jambo and I took a walk to Pentoga Village later in the day. We each chose a tire track in which to walk until the plow truck came rumbling along. It made for much easier walking after.

Mark, Sheri, Jambo, Germain, and Germaine's niece, came over for pizza and to watch last night's Packer's playoff game. Mark and I, both, knew the outcome very well might not be favorable, so we each had our dammit dolls at hand.

It's a wonder the dollies are still intact as Green Bay looked like a lousy excuse for a football team. Our season is over, but as we say every year, "THE PACK WILL BE BACK!"

Just exactly when is anyone's guess.

I'm going for my walk pretty soon then plan to spend the morning clearing the front porch of snow... again. No doubt, Sargie has some ideas of how the day should proceed, so I'll let her plan our extensive agenda.

We're just so busy here in the north woods during these dark January days.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
