The metal roof was finished on Monday |

It's a short one tonight. Sargie works at the eye clinic on Tuesday and I'll be at the elementary school welcoming parents and students to beginning of the year open house.
Monday began with Macrea making delicious omelets.
The boy has omelet making down to a fine science.
Yooper Brother Mark and Sheri came out later in the morning. We worked for quite a while getting the metal roofing on the front half of the garden house.
Along with Macrea's help, Mark and I finished the roof. I won't hesitate to say that my roofing days, especially on steep pitches, are over. Balancing on the top rung of an extension ladder while Mark keeps it from slipping off the scaffolding just isn't as much fun as it used to be.
Macrea and family left mid afternoon. Jenna and Jerad had pulled in a bit earlier and the four of us had a wonderful visit. There aren't a lot of young people who would take the time to drive out from town to visit the older generation.
Great kids.
Tuesday's going to be a busy day and I'm excited to finally get this school year underway. After a full week of preparation, it's time to educate some munchkins.
After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
