Watch out! It's the Dancing Bobkitties preparing for their Spring Concert.
March 22, 2019 - Friday morning
29 degrees/cloudy/very windy
Pentoga Road

It'll be another short one this morning. Unlike yesterday, Sargie leaves early and I'm not working. Seems all we can do is give each other a quick handshake, a wink, and a nod, with a promise that we'll meet up sometime in the future.

I had a wonderful day subbing in the bobkitty den on Thursday. The fourth graders are really a good group of munchkins and I enjoy their company a great deal. Kent, their regular teacher, is a great guy, very organized, and he makes it easy to step into his shoes.

Yes, the Bobkitties are getting ready for their spring concert and I was treated to one of their dancing rehearsals.

The fourth graders like what they are doing and obviously love their music teacher.

Like most fourth graders, several of the boys' enthusiasm far outweighs their coordination. It promises to be a great show.

We have a third grade boy who has wrestled his way into the Wisconsin State finals. In true Bobkitty fashion, Principal Neal called a quick in-hall pep rally to wish the young athlete good luck.

I was home early, picked up Sargie, and we ran a few errands in town. Last night was a quiet one.

My bride will be opening the Vision Center bright and early. I'll ride with her a few miles before walking back home. Most of my day will be spent in the shop. Though sunny, it's going to be windy with temperatures barely topping out at freezing.

I hope to make a batch of oatmeal raisin cookies at some point and since it's Lent and eating meat is forbidden today, I told Sargie I'd make the seafood casserole that we've become so fond of.

OK, it's time to rock 'n roll. I've got her lunch to pack, breakfast to make, and get a fire going in the shop wood furnace.

Sigh.

So much to do, so little of me. If only you had my life, you'd understand.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
