Sunrise Tuesday morning
March 12, 2019 - Tuesday evening
40 degrees/cloudy/breezy
Pentoga Road

Once again, it's a hurry up and write situation this evening. Sargie worked all day as did her husband. I'm going to get this uploaded, watch a bit of tv, pack our lunches, take a shower, then head to bed. No doubt, Sargie will be right behind.

It was good to be a substitute teacher today. Miss Becky had back to back to back classes in either the computer lab or library and I was there for every one of them.

The kidlings were good as gold. It was just a busy day.

I arrived home, carried in two day's supply of firewood, then walked to Pentoga Village and back. The slush and ice made for a slippery hike, but it was gratifying to see the yellow line at times. It's been months since it was last visible.

After working some long hours this week, Sargie closes the Vision Center Wednesday evening. I'm going to teach third grade tomorrow, then thankfully, we both have a badly needed day of rest on Thursday before returning to work on Friday.

I know one thing for certain. Once this flu epidemic is over and the school district is back to normal, I'm going to return to retirement life for at least three school days a week.

Until then, it's time to get ready for tomorrow's Bob Kitties.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...

Now that the snow and ice are melting, sand spread on the road this winter measures over an inch deep in some places.
