Brrr... 27 below zero Monday morning
January 21, 2019 - Monday evening
7 degrees/cloudy skies/snow flurries
Pentoga Road

You might think seven above zero is a bit chilly, but hey, it's currently thirty-four degrees warmer than it was earlier today, a veritable heat wave.

The moon was huge all night right into sunrise. It made a beautiful picture this morning.

I worked all day in the shop, mostly taking apart pallets.

I hoped to do the entire trailer full, but the one blade I had in the shop finally wore out. I could have gone to town and bought more, but it was later in the afternoon and I was ready to quit.

The pile of lumber after the first ten pallets is impressive. I decided to stack it under the roof of the outdoor wood furnace.

This evening was spent looking at various youtube videos of turning, scroll saw, and intarsia lessons. Say what you will about modern technology, but I can learn as much or more from a twenty minute video than I could in many months of trial and error.

Sargie walked in the door a bit ago. Poor girl had to close the Vision Center tonight, but thankfully, is off Tuesday. We're planning on going to Iron Mountain in the morning for a couple of appointments. With several inches of snow in the forecast, the rest of Tuesday will be played by ear. No doubt, I'll end up shoveling and plowing snow before day's end.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
