Wes The happiest little guy in the world |
October 16, 2018 - Tuesday evening
49 degrees/clear skies/calm winds
Stratham, New Hampshire
Today was filled with nonstop action. Matt and I headed out to the golf course first thing Tuesday morning.
Considering I haven't played in over a year, I was happy with my score, a 49 for nine holes which included one par and a bogey or two.
Despite my best efforts, Matt beat me by two strokes.
I don't believe I've beat him since he was in the sixth grade and even then, it was rarely.
It was lunch time before we stepped off the course. Matt took us to the town of Exeter, NH, just a few miles from their home, which is filled with Revolutionary War era buildings, homes, and a very historic downtown area.
Of course, we had to make it competitive and Matt won, 10 jumps to 7. This wasn't my lucky day when it came to contests.
We'll be meeting Luke in the morning for the Grandpa exchange. I'll spend the rest of the week with Coleman, Abigail, Luke, and Melinda, before we come back to Matt and Jess's for Saturday's big birthday party, the one where we celebrate all nine of the grandchildren's birthday's for the year.
It's time to get this uploaded and turn out the light. This grandpa's a tired boy and tomorrow promises to be a busy day.
After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road by way of Stratham, New Hampshire...
