Does this mean summer is over? |
43 degrees/cloudy/calm winds
Pentoga Road
Yeah... so that's how Friday began. I heard Sargie let out a short screech on her way down the steps as she peered out the window. I thought she'd seen a mouse. Not to be. It was just our first snowfall of the year.
Yesterday's stint as librarian/computer teacher went well.
I'd be lying if I didn't admit I was dead tired by the time I arrived home Friday afternoon. A series of half day jobs would be perfect. A full day is pushing it, both physically and mentally. Also, I worked four days this past week. That's about two too many.
Sargie had to close the Vision Center last night and didn't arrive home until well past 9. We talked and watched tv as she ate supper and that was our evening. Pretty short.
She's back to the Vision Center today. If it doesn't rain, I need to bring in the hardy outside summer plants for the winter, mostly the spikes. They'll spend the next six months in the basement with their roots barely covered in sand. The only problem is, a couple are almost six feet tall.
The plants need to be moved, the garden cleaned, and the lean-to to work on. Suddenly, there aren't enough hours in the day.
Guess I'd better end this and get to making breakfast and packing Sargie's lunch.
After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
Hambone stopped into the Vision Center to see Grandma Sargie and decided to try on a few frames. |
