The latest puzzle, all the grandbabies |
40 degrees/clouds/rain/calm winds

Talk about rain, boy, did it ever come down in the middle of the night. I have no idea of the amount as I took the rain gauge in several weeks ago to keep it from freezing.
I just realized that we'll be leaving for Indiana in another ten days to go get Mom and bring her to the UP for Christmas. Sargie and I decided to leave a day early so she can do some Christmas shopping while in Terre Haute. Mom has an all day commitment on the fifteenth, the perfect opportunity for Sargie to go shopping. There is a large mall and several big box stores in the area. No doubt, we'll visit most of them.
Sunday started with the usual walk to Pentoga Village and back.
Once home, I decided there would be no better time to climb onto the roof and clean the screen that surrounds the top of the flue.
The sun was out and I was in no hurry to do anything afterwards. Sitting on the roof and soaking up the sunshine, I leaned back, closed my eyes, and almost fell asleep twelve feet off the ground.
Mississippi Brother Garry tells me that falling asleep on any roof isn't a very bright thing to do. I agree, but it sure was nice and cozy warm up there.
The rest of the afternoon was spent in the shop where two more puzzles were completed. I especially enjoyed the computer work while making the composite of the grandbabies.
Speaking of grandbaby, look whose turn it was to be made into a puzzle.
All the kids will be getting puzzles of themselves for Christmas.
Next began the early steps of making a snowman. First, I needed to find the right wood.
In this case, I cut a piece from a pine fence post.
I hope to turn the head today, hollowing it out to make a bowl and use the hat as the lid.
Sargie was home from her Christmas tea in time for us to take a short drive. Knowing Yooper Brother Mark spent Saturday decorating the outside of their home for Christmas, we drove past.
If one isn't in the Christmas spirit before, he certainly will be after driving past Mark and Sheri's home.
Sargie closes the Vision Center tonight. I'm heading to the shop later to continue onward and upward making Christmas presents.
After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
