The inch to two inches per day of light snow continues to fall. Problem is, it's beginning to accumulate. |

Pentoga Road
I'm rushing around a bit this morning as Sargie has a hair appointment in Iron Mountain at 9. While she's getting beautified, I'll take the Kia to the Jiffy Lube for an oil change and to have a bulb changed in one headlight.
We can count on an inch-a-day (or a bit more) of snow to fall. It's just enough that if one doesn't keep his drive cleared, the snow will be packed down and by winter's end, turn into several inches of packed ice. It's easier to simply run the plow over the drive on an almost daily basis.
I finished the last of the presents in the shop Monday morning and with that, Sargie and I both agreed it was time to get them mailed. First, however, came a couple of hours of packing.
Sargie was the head packer, making sure plenty of padding was placed around each item and that all would fit in each box.
I kept busy addressing the labels along with the to/from stickers, taping the boxes, and all those other things one does before mailing out a package.
Seems we weren't the only people who were trying to beat the rush. Our post office had a fairly long line of those who needed attending at the window.
Due to one of the headlights being out on the Kia, our afternoon drive was cut short. Seems as though it was almost dark by 3:30 and with the falling snow, there was no need to take any chances.
The rest of the day was a lazy affair. We watched television, talked, laughed, and ate way too much. Sargie and I both agree that we could get used to her being home all the time. It's nice to be married to one's best friend.
I need to cut this short as we leave for Iron Mountain in less than an hour. Vacation or not, I promised I'd get my girl to her appointment on time.
After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
