Mr. Snowman is ready for Christmas!
December 10, 2017 - Sunday
14 degrees/snow flurries/calm winds
Pentoga Road

Naturally, our internet is going in and out AGAIN this morning. It was the same last night. Honestly, if the internet company had any competition at all, the owner would be bankrupt in a matter of days. Unfortunately, for us, he's the only game in town.

I'll call tomorrow and they'll say the same thing they always do, "We're working on it."

I'm not certain the word work is in their vocabulary.

It's cold and snowy these days in the North Country. I took some time Saturday morning to plow a couple of inches off the drive. It's about time to get the snowblower and Tundra out of the storage container. So far, we've had a series of little one and two-inch snows, but we're due for the big one one. So far, at least in the ten day outlook, nothing of any significance is predicted.

Most of Saturday was spent in the shop working on the snowman. For whatever reason, I simply couldn't get warm, so later in the day, I moved the supplies inside and finished painting in the living room by the wood stove.

I love my new paint tray. Seems everything has a place and moving from one area to the other involves bending down and picking it up. I'm glad Sargie had the idea as it's made my life a lot easier.

I was chilled right down to the bone last night and needed either my mommy to tuck a heavy blanket under my chin or some comfort food to warm me up. Since Mom won't be here until later this coming week, I opted for a big ol' bowl of creamy potato soup along with biscuits and some of Jambo's famous blackberry jelly.

Sargie had to close and wasn't home until late, but we didn't care. Today begins her eight day vacation! I'm not sure what time we finally went to bed, but then I'd fallen asleep earlier in my recliner. A guy expends a lot of energy and burns a lot of calories when painting a snowman you know.

I realized Christmas was upon us last night when I saw that Sargie had changed our bed to the Christmas comforter and pillows.

I'm going to try to finish the remaining gifts that have to be mailed today. It's time to get them out of the living room and on their way to all the good little girls, boys, mommies and daddies. I think there are three to finish and I'll be done.

Other than that, Sargie's in charge of the Agenda Committee. No doubt she'll have a thought or two about today's activities.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...

Both snow people are ready for Christmas.
Sargie asked if they were girlfriend/boyfriend.
Sure! Why not? It's Christmas!
