December 21, 2017 - Thursday
15 degrees/light snow/calm winds
Pentoga Road

I just discovered that I forgot to take the camera out of my pocket yesterday, so there aren't many pictures today. On the other hand, I really didn't do anything on Wednesday that was picture-worthy.

Most of my time was spent on the growth chart. I've moved my paints inside the house so Mom and I can visit while I'm working. The chart is almost finished. I'll add the measurements and increments today and call 'er done.

Mom and I took a nice ride later in the morning, stopped by the grocery, and after, Mom treated us to lunch. It was some good, quality, Mama/son time. I like that.

I spent some time getting the trailer from the popple woods and have it parked up by the barn.

Once the holidays are over, it will be used to haul the snowmobile and ice shack to the area lakes. With the increasing chances of measurable snow, I was fearful I'd wake up some morning and find that I wasn't able to get to it. I'm planning on beginning my fishing season right after the holidays.

The rest of the day was spent sitting in the living room painting the chart. Mom was busy on her Ipad and we both enjoyed the Christmas music playing in the background. We also watched a couple of Hallmark movies later in the evening.

Sargie found out yesterday that she is able to take three days off in a row next week so she'll be going with to take Mom back to Indiana. Brother-in-law, Ross, was going to go if Sargie couldn't get the time off, so we'll have to schedule a guy trip sometime in the future, one of those No Gurlz Allowed times.

Sargie's off today and if I had to venture a guess, I'd say she'll be wrapping presents. She made mention last night that one more wrapping session should see the job about finished.

I'm going to finish the growth chart and there are a couple of gifts that need to be attended to in the shop. No doubt, later, we'll be going for our usual day-off drive while sipping Cokes and gabbing a mile a minute.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
