Congratulations, Jenna!
Jenna, Grizzly Adams, (whoops) Jerad's special other was pinned as an LPN Friday evening.

We hope to leave bright and early Saturday morning, so I thought I ought to write tonight.

Yooper Brother Mark sent a few pictures of Jenna's nurse's pinning from Friday evening. Jenna's a role model for today's young women. She works a full time job while putting herself through college.

Jenna's been to some of our Milligan Family gatherings and we consider her to be a part of our family. She can only be described as a sweetheart.

Congratulations, Jenna! We're proud of you and love you!

With Mom off to Indianapolis early Friday morning for her day of activities, Sargie and I began our shopping excursion. One of the first items on our agenda was to get the car washed.

Dirty? I'm not sure dirty is strong enough to describe the exterior.

Thankfully, the car wash was good one and after a five minute run-through, the salt and grime had been removed.

We visited way too many stores to mention. One of our favorite stops was at Sam's Club where the sample ladies were out in force. It was there that I met my newest BFF, Judi.

Aunt Joanne, a former shrink (therapist) at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, works part time as a sample lady outside of Atlanta, Georgia. I asked Judi if she knew Aunt Joanne, but evidently, their paths haven't crossed. I just thought since they worked for the same company and all...

Sargie was a whirlwind, going from one store to the other, up one aisle and down another.

I don't want to say she wore me out, but I ended up sitting on my backside most the day with the other shopping orphans, waiting, and waiting some more, for our wives to come rescue us from the depths of the mall.

I guess I'm not much of a shopper.

We arrived back at the complex this evening just in time to see Mom get off the bus from her day in the big city. She said the entire musical program was fantastic.

Seeing the bus driver remove all the walkers from under the bus, I was tempted to steal them and open a used walker lot in the UP.

Thankfully, Sargie talked some sense into me before I put my new business plan into action.

We had supper this evening with the girls here at Mom's community. It was good to see my friends, Marion and Phyllis and catch up on the news in their worlds.

Sargie and I sneaked back out this evening to do some last minute shopping and pick up a few things we'd forgotten earlier today. Mom was tired and opted to stay home saying she'd see us bright and early in the morning.

Mississippi Brother Garry sent a couple of photos of their grandson Evan's (Monkey Boy's) Christmas program.

In 2nd grade, I'm not certain if Monkey Boy played the Grinch at his Christmas program or those are just his horns trying to show under his hair.

Evan is second from the left, first row
We're planning to leave for the UP Saturday morning bright and early, hopefully around 6 AM CST which should see us home around 4 PM. Mom's packed and ready to roll. We're about there ourselves.

I'm taking my shower tonight and then will crawl between the sheets. It'll be a ten hour drive tomorrow, a long one.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
