November 9, 2016 - Wednesday
28 degrees/clear skies/calm winds
Pentoga Road

After only a few hours of sleep, the writing will be kept to a minimum this morning. My body doesn't perform nearly as well as it did back in my college days when deprived of sleep.

Sargie and I are happy people this morning along with half the nation. I know how the other half feels. We've felt that way for the past eight years.

Whoopi, Barbra, Al Sharpton, and a host of others have vowed to leave the country. I didn't leave eight years ago when my candidate lost. Hmm, I wonder how Barbra will sound singing with a Canadian accent?

So that's enough politics. The mud has been slung, feelings have been hurt, friendships strained, and names have been called. It's time to get this country back on track, do something about the cost of health insurance, seal the borders, become energy self sufficient, and quit fighting other people's wars for them... and those are just the tip of the iceberg.

I hope Donald sleeps well in the coming days. Our new President elect has a full to overflowing platter if he's going to accomplish all he promised.

Meanwhile, it's time to get back to the more mundane things in life. My project in the shop is taking a bit longer than anticipated and naturally, there's the daily five mile walk to enjoy.

But first, I'm going to think a deep thought or two and enjoy another cup of coffee. It's what we who are deplorable do in the early morning hours.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
