As you can see, Saturday was wedding day in the UP. Not only did we attend one, we saw other wedding parties when we went out to eat after. Love was in the air in the UP on Saturday afternoon!

I began the day by working in the shop. Nothing new there.

We left late morning for Niagara, Wisconsin. The son of one of Sargie's best friends was tying the knot. It was a wonderful ceremony with lots of friends and family in attendance.

Sargie's good friend, Claire. John must have been in a hurry to get down the aisle as he's just a blur!
The reception wasn't until later in the afternoon and since Sargie and I had a bit of a drive, we decided to go out to eat and come on home. After all, we were all dressed up and it seemed a shame to attend only one function while in our city clothes.

We chose the restaurant at the local ski hill, known for it's huge and absolutely delicious hamburgers.

It would be an abrupt landing at the bottom of the ski jump this time of the year. Thousands of people will gather in February for the annual international competition.
I had the Rodeo Burger, filled with hot and spicy jalapeno peppers, deep fried onion rings, and other goodies too numerous to mention.

Sargie opted for the much more tame Mushroom and Swiss burger.

Once home, I changed into comfortable clothes and headed to the garden. It's about done for the year. I picked a few chocolate cherry tomatoes and several cucumbers. One in particular, an Asian variety, grows quite large. I have no idea if it's fit to eat, but it certainly makes quite a conversation piece.

Last night was a quiet one and we were in bed fairly early.

Today looks to be near perfect in the weather department. I'm hoping I can talk my fishing partner into joining me in an effort to put meat on the table. I usually don't have to try too hard.

The sun is just now rising. I think I'm going to pour another cup of coffee, listen to the news, and think deep thoughts.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
