It's Amazing Emerson ... Super Hero Granddaughter! Matt sent a few pictures from their visit to a local children's museum. |

I decided to write tonight as we're planning on heading south bright and early Tuesday morning for a day of Christmas shopping in Green Bay.
After a quick breakfast and bath early Monday morning, Grady was dressed and off to Iron Mountain with Grandma Sargie. I'm told he cried when left at the daycare, but the little guy need not fear, he'll be back Wednesday night and spend all day Thursday with Grandpa.
After my usual walk, I spent all morning and much of the early afternoon sanding and staining the cross. It's difficult to make something look nice that is constructed from old, rotten, glued wood, that from the old sign. The glue is discolored and some of the wood is so weathered and rotten that it's impossible to sand back to its original natural color.
Oh well, it's a practice piece, my first attempt at anything like this and I really didn't plan on completing it. Mostly, I wanted to see if I could do it. The jury's still out, but no doubt, I'll attempt more projects using better wood in the future.
From the pictures Matt sent, it appears that Emerson's not the only super hero. So is Mommy!
Speaking of Mommy, Emerson's baby brother is expected in February. Andy and Jessica are expecting their baby, Ivy, Christmas Eve.

It's time to take a shower and think about heading upstairs to bed.
After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
