Pentoga Road
The world appears grey and still this morning as though in preparation of the next series of storms that are due to arrive over the next twelve hours. Last night's precipitation resulted in two inches of heavy, wet, snow. There are three to five more forecast for tonight and tomorrow.
The past two days have been quiet ones. Mom and I went into town and shopped a bit. My purchases have been officially made for Christmas and I'm ready for the big day.
Mom and Sargie helped to put together the rolling tool cabinet Sargie gave me for Christmas. I had a difficult time reading the instructions and an even harder time finding holes where nuts and bolts were supposed to pass through.
Though he meant well, Brutus wasn't worth a darn assembling the cabinet. |
In the end, Mom and Sargie mostly assembled the tool box while I supplied a bit of man power and supervised. It's a good thing neither listened to me. The box would have been put together backwards and upside down.
I spent several hours on Sunday afternoon coaching the Packers to victory over Tampa Bay. It wasn't pretty, but a win is a win. Next contest will be hosting the Detroit Lions for the division championship of the NFC North.
Mom, Sargie, and I, made our way into town late Sunday afternoon. We were going to drive around the area after dark looking at the Christmas lights, but decided against it when it began snowing and the roads became slippery.
Sargie's working early today. I'm going to plow the drive and work on a couple of projects in the barn. Mom and Brutus are relaxing with Mom reading a book.
It's time to get this uploaded and begin the day. After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
