In the air on the Canadian side, flying along the shores of Lake Erie on our way to Detroit. |

There's not a lot to talk about this morning other than air travel and airport layovers. Luke dropped me off at the Portland, Maine, airport early on Wednesday morning. All my flights were on time or early and I landed in Iron Mountain last night almost half-an-hour early.
Downtown Detroit |
Speaking of trains, I rode this one back and forth six or eight times from one side of the Detroit Airport to the other. Why? Because I could. |
Minneapolis has free broadband internet service, so after grading any papers that arrived via email, I settled in and watched four hours of the mini-series, Lonesome Dove on my Kindle Fire.
By the time I climbed aboard the last flight, I was ready to herd some cattle and shoot any bad guys in the area.
I walked off the plane into Sargie's arms last night. It's always good to get away, always better to come home. We laughed and talked all the way home and my homecoming with Brutus saw the pup want to wrestle and play.
Sargie's off today and I'm not sure what's on the agenda. We talked about going fishing if the sun comes out, but right now, that seems like a far distant possibility. I'll let Sargie take the lead.
Meanwhile, I'm going to get this uploaded then sip another cup of coffee and listen to the news.
After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
