The final load of Sargie's goodies were brought over from the old storage unit on Saturday.

This weekend was all about moving, making shelves, throwing away, stacking, and packing. Not much exciting there.

The old storage bin is finally empty. It's a beautiful sight.
We made our final move on Saturday. The weather was perfect and knowing we had just a few large items to transport made the trip was almost enjoyable.

We're going to try to sell some of the things; the central air conditioner, a stove, chairs, a desk, a dishwasher, and a couple of other things. What isn't sold will go to a local charity thrift shop. Right now, they are sitting in the garage. I need to clean some as they've all been in storage for the past few years.

I watched the Packers play the Lions on Sunday. It wasn't pretty. With only three games into the schedule, we've yet to display many traits of a championship team and the boys look as though they are just going through the motions. I stuck with the Green and Gold through the worst years in my generation, the 70's and 80's. After experiencing twenty lousy years, a bad game or two is mere child's play.

I spent time on Saturday and Sunday completing the shelves in the new shed.

I'll begin moving items from the basement onto these newest shelves built this weekend.
There's room for one more to go along the upper part of the barn wall, but that would require cutting some siding for each brace. I'll wait to see if we need another shelf. Most of Sargie's boxes and totes are already on shelves in the rear and there's still some remaining room.

Sargie spent all her free time this weekend sorting through the remaining totes and boxes. I think she still has one or two left, but the end is in sight.

Sargie works early today. I'm going to work up some wood, move items from the basement, post some of the furniture in the garage on Telephone Time, and who knows what else? Other than work up some hard wood, the biggest summer chores are coming to an end giving me time to concentrate on the smaller ones before snow flies.

But first, I'm going have another cup of coffee and listen to the news.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
