Pentoga Road
Friday was a day filled with several pounds of pure
energy, little Bree. We laughed and played with toys and at
one point, she even flew through the air. It was fun.
The day started with super omelets. After Sargie left for
work, Lynette and I enjoyed a walk through the woods. We hiked the south
property line and I enjoyed showing her the hundreds of sugar maples. We talked as we made our way through the woods and it was nice to have
some quality time with my good friend.
The folks wanted to see some sights. We left Pentoga Road
making our way to the Indian burial ground in Pentoga Park then onto Horse Race Rapids. Bree particularly enjoyed the walk down a
large hill, the huge boulders, and watching the water flow under the rocks on
which we were perched.
After, we made our way to the old church in Mansfield and
finally, with a sleepy baby in our midst, started for home. Bree was ready for
a nap and I think Uncle Tom, Daddy, and Mommy, were ready to sit and do
nothing. In the end, we watched a movie and ate leftover pizza followed by big
bowls of ice cream. It was a wonderful day.
Sargie arrived home on Friday evening well past 9:30 after a
long day in the Vision Center. Saturday won’t be much better. After working in the morning
and attending a baby shower in the afternoon for her great niece, we’re hoping
to play a cutthroat game of Mexican Train Dominoes tonight. Thankfully, the
girl is off tomorrow and will be able to sleep in. She also wants to dedicate
much of Sunday playing with Bree. It should be a lot of fun.
I’m not sure what we’re doing today. The weather is lousy
featuring chilly temperatures and rain. Lynette wants to cook a big meal so
when Sargie arrives home, it’ll all be prepared. I think we’ll head into town
and get whatever ingredients she needs. Other than that, it appears to be a
NetFlix online movie day.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road…
