April 19, 2021 - Monday morning
32 degrees/partly cloudy/windy
Pentoga RoadWith the help of a friendly priest, along with friends and family, Cheeks received the sacrament of baptism Sunday morning.
We arrived early at Mel and Macrea's to help with any last minute arrangements for the family gathering following the baptism. After the usual rushing around and threatening to light a stick of dynamite under Hambone's backside to get him in gear, we were soon on our way to church.
The baptism took place directly after mass. We gathered in front of the church by the baptismal font where the ceremony began.

The service over, everyone made their way back to Mel and Macrea's where the kids hosted a wonderful gathering. Members from both sides of the family were there and everyone had a great time.
It was later in the afternoon before the gathering broke up. Last night was spent trying to keep our eyelids open while pretending to watch tv.
I have no idea what's on today's agenda. There's really nothing I have to do and after a week of rushing around and trying to meet deadlines, it feels pretty good.
There is one thing I know for certain.
A man's work is never done.
Whoops. I promise, Father, I'll be good.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
