Pentoga Road
There are way too many pictures on which to comment this morning, so I'll simply let you enjoy them.
We left Pentoga Road around 7 Friday morning, met Debbie in Crystal Falls, and made our way to Redridge on the western shores of the UP.
We swam and explored. Found driftwood and hiked around the world's largest steel dam (well it was in 1901). Atlantic Mine was a huge copper mining company that occupied the entire area. Operations ceased around 1920.

We found copper and visited the Enchanted Forest where Hambone found money left in the money stump by the leprechauns.
He also got to visit Hansel and Gretels home in the enchanted forest, all on Auntie Debbie's land!
High water has put the six generation family homestead in danger. One room has already been removed and a temporary deck added. A summer residence of Debbie's mom, Bev, she reported that she believes it cyclical, and that this summer, sand is beginning to fill back in those places where it eroded.
We left mid afternoon and made the Hambone exchange early last evening before a line of storms came through dumping almost three inches of rain. We lost power, but it was finally restored just before bedtime.
Meanwhile, enjoy the photos of our adventures at Redridge.

After all, a man's work is never done.
