Pentoga Road
It's a tired boy who's writing tonight. With Sargie's help, we sealed the drive today. It's a nasty job that's finished for another year.
I started the day with my usual walk. Today's was a short one, only four miles.
Back home, I stopped by the garden and picked some fresh baby zucchini and pulled a couple of carrots.

Talk about good, mmm, fried carrots and zucchini.
Fresh from the garden, along with fresh fruit and cottage cheese, they made the perfect breakfast.
It was later in the morning before Sargie and I started sealing the drive.
We had a good system going. I'd pour the sealer, she'd use a special push broom with which to transfer the excess, and I'd use a squeegee to smooth it over the pavement.
I'd calculated that nine pails of sealer would be about right. It was close, but we fell just ten feet short of having enough.
There was nothing to do but go to town and purchase another pail.

The drive was completely sealed by late afternoon. With half a pail of sealer left, we'll put an extra coat on the heaviest traveled places.

I started two wooden names in the shop tonight and hope to finish those Thursday. Otherwise, Sargie has a new cabinet to hang and I'd like to work on insulating the inside of the garden house.
There's always something.
