Monday's sunset on Pentoga Road
May 19, 2020 - Tuesday morning
52 degrees/cloudy/breezy
Pentoga Road

If you don't believe in God, just look at that sunset. If that doesn't do it, then you'd better make an appointment to get some eye glasses.

We made it to Green Bay in good shape yesterday after fighting rain and wind the entire way. Hoping the weather may get better, it became nothing but worse. Talk about a miserable, rainy, windy, chilly, day.

We went from one big box store to the other, Costco, Sam's, Aldies, and Walmart, throwing goodies in our cart along the way while following the mask and distancing rules.

Who is that good lookin' babe behind the mask?
The freakiest part of the day happened at Walmart when a robot cleaning machine came chugging down the aisle. There's little doubt in my mind that in the future, the average Walmart worker will become as extinct as the dinosaurs.

We arrived back home on Pentoga Road late Monday afternoon. After helping to unload the car and later, making deliveries to Neighbor Sue and Jambo, I hiked to Pentoga Village and back. Nary a drop of rain had fallen in our neck of the woods during the day.

I'm heading out for my morning walk pretty quickly. Today will see me in the garden working on the raised beds. With highs forecast to approach 80 degrees towards week's end, it's time to get serious about this whole gardening thing.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...

Today's random Alaska picture: Native dancing at Kotzebue High School. The girls are "dancing" while the boys beat the ugruk (bearded seal) skin drums and sing.
