Sargie's using the power shovel to move the snow from the deck |
January 6, 2020 - Monday morning
20 degrees/cloudy/windy
Pentoga Road
This is one of those five minute blogs this morning as I'm on my way to Eric the Dentist's to have my tooth ground on. I, literally, have five minutes before leaving.
Sunday was pretty much a nonevent. I took my walk, slipping and sliding for three miles as a freezing mist had coated everything in sight.
Sargie and I were getting ready to leave for Rhinelander when the snow began to fall. What was forecast as a one to three inches event turned into a four-plus snowfall.
We opted to stay home.
The high point of the day was when Sargie made a big ol' batch of chili. With the bad tooth, I more gummed it rather than chewed, but the flavor was there. Of course, a grandpa nap followed.
We spent last evening clearing the drive, deck, and making everything ready so I could get to town this early morning for my appointment. Naturally, the heavy wind blew the snow back in, so I'll be four wheel driving it for a bit.
We're going to attempt to go to Rhinelander once I get home. The forecast is for much better conditions making for, what I hope, is an enjoyable outing.
Time to go see Eric.
After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
