January 2, 2020 - Thursday morning
30 degrees/light snow/calm winds
Pentoga Road
Uh huh, you read it right. More snow is falling and there's yet, another winter advisory out for this morning. At least there's not to be much accumulation.
Despite all the muttering about snow, yesterday was one of the most beautiful days I've witnessed in a long time.
I decided to celebrate the new year by walking around the block, a seven and a half mile trek filled with hills and valleys, woods and farms.
Sargie said she'd like to go for a long ride in the afternoon. The girl didn't have to mention it twice. Though I thought we might put away Christmas decorations, it was entirely too nice of a day to be inside.

We got back in the car and drove halfway to Iron Mountain to make, yet, another Hambone exchange.
Grandma Sargie and Grady played FISH last night. The family's newest card shark decided he wanted to be in the pond rather than draw cards from it.
Sargie works today at the eye clinic. Hambone and I are going to head out the door at some point and begin cutting the fallen limbs and even a couple of trees that have been destroyed by this winter's heavy ice and snow. If we get that done, I guarantee we'll both sleep well tonight.
After all, a man's work and that of his shadow, is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
