The rafters were added to the garden house on Thursday. Sorry for the fuzzy picture. I was swimming at the time and water was on the lens. |

The pitch on the roof of the garden house doesn't look very steep in the above picture. Believe me, it's steep, made purposely so to shed the snow. It looks shallow in the picture; I guess because I was swimming and taking it from the ground level up.
There's just not a lot to write about and not many pictures to post. I spent all day Thursday putting up the rafters on the garden house. Nary a picture was taken. I couldn't. Most the time, I was climbing up and down one of the two ladders and at one point, I was sitting atop the ridge pole securing several rafters from the top.

The next step will be to add the roofing and begin enclosing the sides. We'll pull the trailer to Rhinelander this Saturday to purchase what will be needed.
It was late afternoon and I was hot and sweaty after finishing with the rafters.
What to do?
Why not go swimming! We have a pond in our side yard for cryin' out loud.
You've heard of or seen the movie, Dances with Wolves?
This is Pentoga Road's edition of Swimming with Goldfish.
Friday is Sargie's last day at the Vision Center. I'm so proud of my bride of how much she is respected and loved both as a person and as an optician. She's put in many years of hard work, has made countless friends, and I know her patients, doctor, and coworkers, will miss her.
That being said, Sargie's looking forward to doing the same work every Tuesday and Thursday beginning next week. We're both eagerly anticipating her regular four day weekends, home early every night, not having to work holidays or missing family events, not driving almost a hundred miles a day round trip, and most of all, being able to spend more time together.
It's supposed to rain on Friday. With the rafters finished, I hope to spend the day in the shop making some of the unique trim that will go on the garden house.
Jambo's down from Marquette and we talked about going fishing. Only time will tell.
After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
Going to miss her beyond measure. Happy for her--&you. Love you both.(((♡)))
