March 16, 2019 - Saturday morning
19 degrees/cloudy/windy
Pentoga Road

It's another speed write this morning as I still need to pack Sargie's lunch, get breakfast ready, and prepare to ride with her to Iron Mountain. Other than Thursday, we've seen little of each other this past week, so I thought I'd drive over after school Friday afternoon and ride home with her.

What's happened to our spring weather? Yesterday brought blustery conditions, a harsh mix of snow and sun, and wasn't a very nice day outside at all. In fact, it was miserable. Today is forecast to be about the same. At least next week's temperatures are to be near normal, in the forties with some occasional sun.

I need not have worried about the weather on Friday as I was the Bobcat's business teacher all day. I'd give you a blow by blow detail, but the students were sterling good and almost an entire book was read by the time the last bell chimed in the afternoon.

Since most assignments are computer based, the students usually file into the room, check their smartphones one last time before putting them away (mandatory) and get right to work.

Sargie and I had a good ride home and a quiet evening. She's up early this morning preparing to open the Vision Center. I'll ride back and get the car, then return home to empty the Equinox of all the lumber that was purchased Thursday in Rhinelander. After that, the vacuum will be used to rid the vehicle of any errant bits of wood and made pretty again. The rest of the day should see me in the shop.

Sargie's off tomorrow. We'll be going to Yooper Brother Mark and Sheri's for corned beef and cabbage to celebrate St. Pat's Day and yes, getting ready for another work week. Sargie will be back to the Vision Center and I'll be the elementary school's PE teacher Monday afternoon.

Go you Fighting Bob Kitties! Meow!

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
