October 14, 2018 - Sunday morning
35 degrees/clear skies/calm winds
Windham, New Hampshire

It's early morning on the East Coast and I hear rumblings overhead telling me the munchkins are on the rise, so this will be a short one.

Yesterday's flights were all seamless and I arrived in Boston last night forty five minutes ahead of schedule. As our pilot said, "The tail wind is 'wicked strong'" and it pushed us along at a pretty good clip.

Sargie, my hot chick Uber driver, had me to the airport in plenty of time and while waiting, Macrea and Grady showed up to see me off. Hambone had made me a going away card and presented me with two Hot Wheel cars to carry for good luck. I have them both in my coat pocket.

I'm on the other side of security, so we had to make due with hand signals and reading lips.
Most of the day was spent reading a good book. I started it just as the jet left the ground in Iron Mountain and read the final chapter last night before falling asleep. It's been many years since I was able to read an entire novel in one day.

Matt met me at the airport in Boston last night and we had a good visit while driving to their home in New Hampshire. The kiddies and Jessica were all in bed, so I'll get to see them all fairly soon.

I'm told Abigail has a softball game not far away later today, so we'll be heading up across the border into Maine. I'll not only get to watch her play, but will also see Luke and family. He'll be along later this week to pick me up so we can spend some time at their home in North Waterboro, Maine.

Taking the tram from one terminal to another in Minneapolis
I snapped a few photos yesterday morning before leaving home. Just some typical pictures of a pretty fall day on Pentoga Road.

As mentioned earlier, I hear the rumbles of little footsteps overhead. It's time to take a shower and get ready to play Grandpa. It's a title I wear with pride.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road by way of Windham, New Hampshire...
