Hard to believe I had something to do with all these people
October 20, 2018 - Saturday evening
54 degrees/clear skies/breezy
Stratham, New Hampshire

The alarm is set for 3:30 AM. The munchkins are fast asleep and even though it's only a bit past 7 PM, the big people are entertaining thoughts of joining the little ones in dreamland. The 2018 grandbaby birthday party is history.

I could give blow by blow detail of the entire day, but really, the pictures tell the real story. How about we just go with those? Grandpa's tired, much too tired to write.

With that being said, here we go.

Breakfast early Saturday morning
Ivy, Ellie, Wyatt, Emerson, Cody, Bennett

Everybody's favorite, Uncle Luke

Matt, Westley, Emerson, Jessica, Bennett
Coleman, Luke, Melinda, Abigail
Megan, Ellie, Wyatt, Josh, Cody
Ivy and Andy

Time to pack up the ping pong table and take it back to the firehouse.
And so the annual Grandpa birthday party has come and gone. Matt will take me to Boston early in the morning to catch my 7 AM flight to Detroit and on to Iron Mountain. With any luck at all, I'll be back in Sargie's arms well before noon.

Emerson was devastated that Uncle Luke had to go home. He lay beside her just before they left and assured her that they'd see each other again soon.
It's been a fun week, but it's time for life to get back to normal. Grandpa needs to pack then get to bed. Sleep will be in short supply tonight.

With everyone gone, Andy and Ivy immediately fell asleep on the couch.
After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road by way of Stratham, New Hampshire...
