It was very windy, cold, and snowy on Tuesday. Poor Hambone and Pawpaw had to stay indoors. |

Pentoga Road
It's a short one this morning. Sargie opens early and I'll hitch a ride to Iron Mountain. Grady and I went over last night to meet Macrea, the perfect excuse for me to keep Sargie company on the way home.
Tuesday's weather was a bit on the miserable side. Hambone and I, both, wanted to go outside to play, but the wind and cold were simply too brutal. The flag flew straight out from the pole the entire day.
Grady woke up tired and returned to bed shortly after breakfast so I took advantage of the time to work up the rutabagas for the family Thanksgiving meal.

Weighing around five pounds each, these two rutabagas filled the sink.
Two huge pots were filled with slices and covered with water to be boiled and mashed this evening.
Hambone and I watched two movies during the day along with several kiddie programs on the internet, put a puzzle or two together, and had one or two or a hundred Grady to Pawpaw conversations.

The deer grazing in the backyard kept us entertained for a while Tuesday afternoon. Check out the Alfalfa cowlick.
We left late in the afternoon for Iron Mountain to meet Grandma Sargie at the Vision Center. Hambone's good buddy, Michelle, was also there to greet him.
Mel had to work late, so Grandma Sargie, Macrea, Grady, and I, had a quick supper at Taco Bell before we headed our separate ways. Sargie and I spent last evening watching the finale of Dancing With the Stars. As always, we hated to see the season end.
Sargie's back to work early this morning. I'll retrieve the Blazer then come directly home. There's a full day of painting to do on the turkey if it's to be finished by Thanksgiving Day.
After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
