Not a fire, just a spectacular sunset Sunday evening
October 23, 2017 - Monday
31 degrees/cloudy skies/calm winds
Pentoga Road

Ouch! I see in the forecast for Tuesday night that winds are to blow up to 30 mph with rain turning to snow. One to three inches could accumulate.

Hmm, I think it's time to bring in Sargie's spike plants for year. They are so large and room in the basement is limited, so it's quite the project to hang the grow lights and get everything ready. Oh well, it's what one does when he has spikes that are over four feet tall and about that big around.

Sunday was pumpkin day on Pentoga Road, a time when this summer's pumpkins are delivered to all the good little Milligan girls and boys.

The day was chilly and rainy. Sargie left late in the morning for the Vision Center and I busied myself doing a few chores around the house.

I left mid afternoon for Iron Mountain and enjoyed dropping off pumpkins at Hambone's, Derek and Leah's, Jeanne and Boyd's, and Holly and Ross's. I enjoyed a short visit at each stop.

Sargie finished work at 5 and we had a nice ride home. Most outstanding was the sunset. It was absolutely beautiful and I found myself snapping one picture after another.

Luke sent pictures from the grandbabies' games of this past weekend.

Coleman's football team won their game 30-0.

In the world of softball, Abba went 3 for 4 at bat with a single, two doubles and a fly out.  She also stole 4 bases and had 5 RBIs.

Back home, Sargie still has a nagging, deep, cough. She commented last night how much her ribs ache from coughing so much. I think it's one of those bugs that only time can cure. I'm feeling much better and any symptoms of a cold or flu calling my body home are about gone.

Sargie closes the Vision Center tonight so I'll ride back with her to Iron Mountain and retrieve the Blazer. I need to make a stop at Home Depot before coming home. I know one of today's activities will be to bring in Sargie's summertime plants. There's never a dull moment.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
