Seems an inch of snow falls here, another there.
I slept too long this morning and have just a few minutes to write. Seems the sandman must have had an excess of magic dust causing me to sleep deeply throughout the night. There's that, plus the fact that I was up for the day at 3 AM the morning before.

I cleared the drive after arriving home on Tuesday from my usual walk. There really wasn't that much snow, but it all adds up and I hate for it to become packed down over time.  I see we received another half inch last night. There haven't been any big snowfalls this winter, but rather, frequent showers of an inch or less.

Most of the day was spent in the shop. I applied another coat of beeswax to the latest two bowls, let the wax dry, then buffed both. I added a final coat of poly to ensure both are well sealed and remain shiny. They'll be going in the mail to new homes fairly soon.

I worked most the day on a scroll saw piece. It's cut from pine, a mistake on my part, as I've been continually gluing broken pieces back together. I've lost one small piece and will have to manufacture it from scratch, something I find difficult to do.

It was late afternoon before I quit for the day. After a bit of housework, I settled in for an evening of watching television.

Sargie didn't arrive home until almost 9:30 last night. She had to close the Vision Center and will open this morning.

I'm going to attempt to install a new kitchen faucet today. It appears as though it shouldn't be too difficult, but I've lived long enough to know that any type of plumbing, especially faucets, present difficulties not encountered in normal, every day life. Still, I'm mentally prepared. Put me in coach, I'm ready to play.

I'll make my way over to Iron Mountain this afternoon and have my eyeballs looked at. The right one doesn't seem to want to cooperate with the rest of my body, so it's time to see what's going on. Today's exam will be done by the doctor Sargie works for. He can tell me what's happening and if necessary, I'll go onward and upward from there.

I get so tired of hearing doctors say there's nothing that can be done for macular degeneration so I'm assuming today's exam will be just that, an exam, with a pat on the head and the same words that I've heard before. I wish someone would come up with a cure, a pill, a knife, I don't care. I'd be willing to try any or all of them. They can make old hearts new again. You'd think someone would come up with a fix for eyes.

Ok, time to move along here. I've got a walk to take and a faucet to install. Looks to be an action packed day on Pentoga Road.

I'm not surprised. It's just the way I roll.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
