Welcome to the world, Piper Rae Junion 8 pounds, 9 ounces - 20" |

The Milligan clan continues to grow with the birth of Piper on Tuesday night. Sargie's niece, Ashley, gave birth last evening, and along with daddy, Brent, and big sister, Brielle, the Junion family has added one more! There are quips that Piper looks just like her sister, her daddy, and her cousin Marley. Personally, I think she looks just like Piper, a cutie pie.

Speaking of cutie pies, we were visited yesterday by Isabella.
I was working in the shop when a big red pickup truck pulled into the drive. Sure enough, it was Isabella who brought along her mom, Sarah, and dad, Curtis.
We had a wonderful couple of hours together playing with some of Grady's toys.
It amazes me how delicate a little girl can be compared to a boy of about the same age. Grady's like a bull in a china shop. Isabella is much more refined, but then her nickname isn't Hambone. After much conversation and laughter, the kids left, no doubt to go visit other relatives and friends. We'll see them next week before they fly back to Wyoming.
It's easy to understand why Yooper Brother Mark and Sheri's face light up when talking about their granddaughter. She's a genuine angel, the real thing.

Sargie and I made our usual drive to town and did a bit of shopping, but didn't linger because Tuesday had been designated Wash the Windows Day on Pentoga Road.
We washed, wiped, and swiped, and I may have occasionally muttered under my breath. Our living room windows aren't the type that swing out and can be cleaned from the inside. With rot eating away the frames, at least three, if not all, of the old windows will hopefully be replaced this fall.
It takes an act of Congress to separate the screens from the storm windows, the uppers from the lowers. It was 7 PM before we finished.

Last night was spent in front of the television watching America's Got Talent. Bedtime came shortly after.
Sargie opens today. I've got a bit of housework that has been assigned and then I plan to work out in the shop on the lattice. With an inch of rain forecast, it should be a good day to work inside. I'll drive over to Iron Mountain this afternoon and ride home with Sargie after work. We have an appointment to have the front end aligned on the Kia Thursday morning in preparation for our trip to Indiana on Friday so I might as well keep her company on the ride home tonight and back over in the morning.
It's time for another cup of coffee, fix some breakfast, see Sargie off, and then get busy. This housework isn't going to get done by itself.
After all, a man's work is never done.
