The silhouette of Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Fifty-one more days until the Packers take the field for the 2015 season. |
71 degrees/sunny/calm winds
Pentoga Road
It's going to be another sunny and hot day in the North Country. Temperatures are to climb into the upper 80's for a couple of days at the beginning of next week before they subside to more normal readings in the upper 70's.
We did receive .10 of an inch of rain overnight. We need much more, but we'll take whatever falls from the sky.
Sargie and I arrived in Green Bay around 11 Friday morning. Construction and traffic were both heavy, but we made good time with few frustrations.
Stops were made at Fleet Farm, Sam's Club, the mall, and Harbor Freight. Sargie surprised me and bought me a commemorative shirt honoring the induction of Brett Favre into the Packer's Hall of Fame.
She wasn't the only one who was full of surprises. I bought her her very own reel, a pink one, meant for ladies who are ready to step into the big leagues of catching fish.
Stay tuned. The competition for putting meat on the table just became more heated.
The look of a woman who is doing some serious shopping. |
Sargie's off today and I'm not certain what is on our agenda. There's weeding and irrigating the garden that I should attend to first thing before it gets too hot. I try to ensure everything gets at least one inch of water per week.
The trailer is still filled with wood and Mom's not around to unload it, so I guess I'll have to. Then of course, there are two loads of fill left to haul and spread onto the side yard.
What to do, what to do? Hmmm, maybe I'll have a cup of coffee and ponder life's many choices.
After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
