No need for words in today's log other than the internet was out this morning and as anxious as I was to upload pictures of Grady's birthday party, I found myself planting garden instead.

Grady is getting ready for the big party later on Saturday afternoon
Grandma's cutting watermelon for later in the day.
The Mighty Milligan's, including Yooper Brother Mark and Sheri, gathering for the big event.
Nephew Derek has wanted to operate the backhoe for over a year. We made that boy's dream come true.
When not playing on the backhoe or riding his daugher, Marley's  new bicycle, Derek works as a detective for the Dickinson County Sheriff's Dept.
But the party was for Grady and PARTY HE DID!
We had the usual cake and ice cream, pizza and other goodies, but mostly, Grady entertained anyone who was close. Here, he's trying to convince Auntie Holly (that's GREAT Auntie Holly) that he should begin opening gifts.

Auntie Nancy (another GREAT) managed the gifts after they were opened. Here, she paused just long enough to grace us with one of her famous JC Penney model poses.

It didn't take long before he was into the swing of things.
Later, Marley worked hard learning to ride her bicycle. Grandpa Ross, or "G Pop" as Marley and Aubrey call him, was holding onto the back of her seat to give her a running start.
And Daddy (Derek) was at the other end of the yard ready to catch. Marley's got the riding part down pretty good. It's the stopping that she needs a bit more work on.
It's time to get this uploaded. Normally, I'd quip that a man's work is never done, but yesterday's celebration wasn't work. It was a party filled with laughter, family, and friendship. Most of all, it was filled with love.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
