Isabella and Hambone
An afternoon spent at their favorite swimming hole, the local boat launch.
June 25, 2020 - Thursday evening
76 degrees/partly cloudy/calm winds
Pentoga Road

I'm writing tonight so I can get an early start Friday morning. I want to go for my walk first thing then head over to Tim and Rose's to help with preparations for hanging their kitchen cabinets.

Thursday has been a busy one. After my morning stroll, I returned home to resume painting.

Grandma Sargie and Hambone soon joined me.

The siding all the way around the garage was finished shortly after noon.

The large area around the deck will be painted next. I'll probably split it into two days. With storms forecast for Friday, it'll be Saturday before we can begin again.

When I told Grady that Isabella was visiting her grandma and grandpa (Yooper Brother Mark and Sheri) he asked if Isabella could come to the lake with us.

They've been good buddies since they were babies and both will be in kindergarten this coming year.

Whether they're sitting on Santa's lap together, playing mini golf, swimming, playing in the sand, driving go carts, or about anything else two little ones can do, they've done it together.

Fishermen began arriving at the boat landing to either launch or take their boats from the lake. After a couple of hours of swimming, we went back to Pentoga Road.

It didn't take long for the munchkins to find the pond and sand.

Meanwhile, Sargie and Sarah sat in the sun and caught up on the news in each other's lives.

My Fuji camera that's been in the repair shop arrived today. I immediately went outside and snapped several test pictures. So far, so good.

Storms are forecast to come rumbling through on Friday. I hope to go for my usual walk before going to Tim and Rose's.

We'll have a Hambone exchange sometime late afternoon or evening. His stay at home will be short before he accompanies his other grandmother, "Granny," to Omaha, Nebraska, to visit relatives.

Time to get this uploaded and settle in for the evening.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...

Is that water cold, Hambone?
