The sign was delivered Thursday afternoon.
July 12, 2018 - Thursday evening
73 degrees/cloudy/calm winds
Pentoga Road

It's pretty much been a non event day. Half an inch of rain had fallen by the time it ended late in the morning. There's a chance of more tonight if we happen to be under the right clouds. Otherwise, the next opportunity won't arrive until Sunday.

I put a finishing touch or two on the sign and sprayed one last coat of polyurethane before sitting it aside to dry.

Trying to be creative, I decided the volt meter could best be mounted directly into the handle of the battery for the trolling motor.

I have Dremel attachments I've never used, but found one that did the trick.

After sawing the hole and fitting the meter into the handle, I soldered the leads to fit directly onto the battery.

In the end, it fit and works. We no longer have to guess how much "fuel" is left in the deep cell battery.

Sargie and I took a long afternoon drive to deliver the sign, then stopped in Iron Mountain on the way home to do a bit of shopping.

I made omelets for supper with fresh goodies from the garden, green beans, peppers, broccoli, and cucumbers. Along with smoked pork and bacon, the omelets were mighty tasty. Everything is just beginning to set on and by next week, we should be picking daily.

Sargie opens Friday morning. I'll go for my walk then we'll see what the day brings. I need to clean the shop, the green beans are ready for their first picking, the grass could use mowing, and the list goes on and on.

Are we surprised? Heck no.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...

Amazing. I can water the garden daily and the plants do just okay, but, let half an inch of rain fall and they explode.
