April 12, 2018 - Saturday evening

Pentoga Road

Happy Mother's Day a few hours early. To all the moms, old and new ones alike, who have sacrificed so much, we honor you.

Mom, thanks for being the best mother a boy could ever want. Have fun on Sunday and Sargie, you, and I, will celebrate your special day next month while you are in the U.P.

I could narrate the following pictures, but there's no need. No doubt you'll be able to follow today's celebration.

I began the day by fixing popcorn to take to the party, lots and lots of popcorn.

The cat's out of the bag. Now you know my secret ingredients.

I knew there'd be a million and one munchkins coming who would want to play in the jump house. Mama didn't have no dummy. I hopped in before the others arrived and enjoyed a bit of bouncing myself.

Grady, PawPaw and granddaughter, Kylie

Great nephew, Linc - 4 months old

Being surrounded by mini munchkins all afternoon was a lot of fun. Everyone, big and little, helped to usher in Hambone's fourth birthday.

Tomorrow is Sargie's last day off for a few days. I hope to work in the garden for a while in the morning and when she's ready, we'll celebrate Mother's Day. No doubt we'll take a ride, grab a bite to eat, and best of all, enjoy life together.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
