Despite the chilly, damp, conditions, another twenty gallons of sap was collected on Thursday

It's about time to go to bed, but with Sargie having to work early on Friday, I figured I'd better get this written and uploaded tonight.

Today was a slow one. I spent most the morning in the shop working on the scroll saw piece.

It doesn't look like much, but those lines on the church are the hardest things to cut, all requiring the thinest of blades and a steady hand.

Sargie has a sinus infection and had a visit with a physician online with doctorsondemand.com where she got a prescription for antibiotics. After, we made our way to the pharmacy and did a bit of grocery shopping in Crystal Falls.

Back home, I spent some time gathering sap. The temperature over the next few days is to be cold and windy. I wanted to ensure the bags would be empty so no sap would freeze in them.

I've made up my mind that I'll begin boiling around the middle of next week, regardless of the weather.

I grilled pork chops outside and we enjoyed those along with rice and cauliflower from last summer's garden. This evening was spent binge watching Criminal Minds on Netflix.

Other than my morning walk, I'm not sure what Friday will bring. As of now, I'm planning on spending most the day in the shop. Looking at the weather forecast, it won't be good for much else.

Time to make Sargie's sandwich for her lunch tomorrow then get ready for bed.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...

It may be April, but we're still burning wood as though it's the middle of January.
