Today, I'm going to skip the small talk and ask that you pray for a little girl whom we love very much. Please pray for the recovery of our little niece, Aubrey.
She was found early Sunday morning having seizures. A series of events followed, being rushed to the hospital, a helicopter flight to Green Bay, and of course, a day of tests, worry, phone calls, and texts among the family and friends.
As of last evening, Aubrey had been awake and we were told she was even complaining of being hungry, something I take as a positive sign. We've been told what could have caused the seizures, but more tests will no doubt be performed that will produce more answers.
In these early morning hours, the how's and why's are unimportant. In intensive care, Aubrey seems to be stable and has Mommy and Daddy at her side. Older sister, Marley, is with Grandma and G'Pop and of course, as they have done so many times in the past, the entire Milligan family has pulled together to do whatever is necessary to help.
So today, I'm asking that you pray for Aubrey Ann. You might recall that Aubrey's the little peanut who, last week, flopped down on the couch beside me and said, "Tom, I have good news..."
She then proceeded to tell me I have more hair than her year-old cousin, Baby Piper.
Thousands of people from all over the world read this blog. God hears our prayers and knows our needs. A prayer from each of you would let Him know how sincere we are.
Today's writing is not about me or Sargie or what's happening on Pentoga Road. It's about an innocent, beautiful, little girl who needs your prayers.
Thank you,
Tom
We live in the Upper Peninsula of northern Michigan near the small ghost town of Pentoga Village and the Brule River. Family, friends, hiking, wood working, gardening, fishing, photography, and of course, writing, are my passions. Join me daily as I write about our lives and this magical place we call Pentoga Road.
