After a high of almost 60 degrees on Tuesday, one might think spring has arrived... (until he looks at the forecast.)

32 degrees/partly cloudy/calm winds
Pentoga Road
This looks to be the last nice day in this latest bout of spring-like weather. The forecast is for up to a foot of snow beginning Thursday night and continuing into Saturday. We'll just have to wait and see. It's supposed to be our Milligan weekend on the shores of Lake Michigan. I'm glad we have a four-wheel drive vehicle.
Aubrey arrived home yesterday around noon. I'm told it was an especially joyous reunion when older sister, Marley, and Aubrey were reunited. I love happy endings.
Tuesday was a perfect day in the weather department. I took my time walking the five miles, often stopping along the way to take pictures.
The recent warm weather has really opened up the streams and runoffs. One thing about it, with so much melting now, there shouldn't be a lot of flooding when the usual spring melt occurs next month.
Once home, I drove to town to meet Yooper Brother Mark. After leaving the Blazer at the mechanic's, we enjoyed a quick burger before Mark brought me back home. The Blazer is supposed to be finished tonight or sometime on Thursday.
The rest of the day was spent either in the shop or simply enjoying the beautiful weather. At one point, I was lying, belly up, on the warm blacktop in front of the barn with Brutus's head on my chest.
The phone rang and he wouldn't let me get up. The more I tried, the more pressure he applied.
What great fun... for him. I finally managed to wriggle out from underneath the little guy.
The big people puzzle was finally cut out yesterday. That was a real test of the eyes and steadiness of hand. I was happy when all the pieces were freed from each other.
I hope to begin painting today, another test.
I turned my attentions to making a small bowl, this one with a fitted lid. It took a while to sort through the firewood pile for the right piece of birch.
After turning the bowl, I used a set of calipers to continually check the width of the opening so I might turn the lid with a fitted lip to fit inside.
It's times like these that I really mutter about about the eyes, but in the long run, I got the measurements made and could begin.
One of the bigger challenges was to turn an attached knob with which to lift the lid from the bowl. I wanted the knob and lid to be one piece.
In the end, it came out okay, but there are many things I'll do differently the next time. Oh well, there has to be a first and turning the lid was mine.
Yesterday's project is bound for one of my nieces.
The afternoon passed quickly. Since it was so warm and sunny and Sargie wouldn't be home until late, I was in no hurry to go inside.
Upon exiting the shop, I was amazed at how much snow had melted during the day and shocked how green the grass is in the bare places.
Sargie had to close the Vision Center and it was almost bedtime before she arrived home.
Today's agenda looks to be almost identical to yesterday's. It's to be warm with a chance of rain later on. I'll go for my walk this morning.
It's time to begin painting the big people puzzle. I'm on new ground with that one as each piece requires that I actually paint people, animals, faces, trees, leaves, and anything else related to a farm. I might have bitten off more than I can chew. Oh well, I can always use the kindling in the wood stove.
Meanwhile, it's time to get breakfast started and Sargie's lunch packed.
After all, a man's work is never done.
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
